It’s My Second Christmas!!

‘Ho, ho, ho’ says the man in the red suit. I woke on Christmas morning to find a stocking of presents, which I opened in bed with Mummy and Daddy. Then, after we’d got dressed, we had a yummy breakfast. I couldn’t believe all the presents underneath the Christmas tree, ‘Wow’! Father Christmas had definitely visited our house, I knew this because he’d drunk all the milk and cookies we’d left out for him and his reindeer had eaten nearly all the carrots.

We had a very exciting morning opening parcels and hearing family talk on the telephone. I got lots of lovely new toys from my family and Father Christmas. By late morning I was very tired from so much playing and had a lovely nap. Mummy and Daddy joined me for a little shut eye. I woke to yummy food smells and had a little lunch before we all went to the beach for a play. By the time we got back it was dinner time. We had turkey and cranberry sauce (which I loved and Mummy told me my Aunty Claire loves too) and pulled crackers, which made a loud ‘bang’ and wore funny hats (except my hat was too big for me!).

I was very tired after such a busy day. Mummy and Daddy gave me a lovely bubbly bath and then read me a story all about a very special baby, called Jesus, who was born a long time ago and told me Christmas Day was a special day to remember him and have a little party to celebrate his birth. After that I had a very good sleep. Mummy and Daddy ate more once I’d gone to bed and I think they had a little drink too!
