Alice had a hard job deciding on what theme she’d like for her 7th Birthday party. Pokemon featured high on her list, as did the amazing ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ story, from the recently released movie and the wonderful ‘Moana’ movie. In the end we went with Pokemon as there were so many easily downloadable decorations and game ideas on the Internet; and she’d definitely spent a large time of being six walking around the trails of Wellington catching Pokemon (as well as catching a few on holiday in England and Wales, as well as Australia and California!).
She invited her neighbourhood friends, so it wasn’t too big a party – just a comfortable number to handle at home and a lot less stress for everyone! Sophie and Alice really enjoyed decorating the living area and preparing for the party.
They played ‘pin the tail on the Pikachu’ (which Alice drew) and a game of ‘Pokemon Bingo’:
They all loved having a few turns to whack the Pokeball pinata. Here’s Alice having a go with help and support from her sisters!
They enjoyed the Pokeball cakes which Alice’s oldest sister, Charlotte, had made and decorated.
As well as the ‘main cake’!!
And they enjoyed hunting for Pokemon hidden around the garden, which Alice’s sister, Sophie, facilitated.
Alice loved reading the cards from everyone and was so thrilled with the lovely gifts.
It was a really beautiful day for her Birthday and she is so fortunate to have such wonderful friends. Lots of fun was had by all. Happy 7th Birthday to Alice! x
