‘Penguins!’ we squealed as we ran over to the viewing window at Kelly Tarltons.
‘Daddy, Daddy, put your hand in here,’ Charlotte and Sophie dared with mischievous glee. The sign read, ‘See if you can last 30 seconds,’ and the water was freezing. We watched in awe as Daddy did it! We only lasted a few seconds, brrrr, too cold for us.
‘Let’s measure ourselves against the penguins!’. ‘Awww, look, little Alice is only about the size of a Little Blue Penguin!’.
‘Oh look! Come on the ride to see the penguins closer! We have to get in a special Snowcat as it’s going to be cold in there. The Snowcat will keep us warm.’
‘Whoa, the penguins are so beautiful! This is a small colony, in Antarctica they live in colonies numbering into the millions!’
‘Take my photo!’
‘Wow! Look at that lady hand feeding the Sting Ray!’
‘Let’s go see the sharks now!’
‘Wow, that’s a Lion Fish,’ said Charlotte with wide eyes, ‘It’s deadly to humans.’
And what about Alice? What does she think of Kelly Tarltons?
‘Erm, aaaa goo, I slept through most of it and woke up at the end in the gift shop!’
