Saturday afternoon was the inaugural YouDo Christmas BBQ at the home of Chez Lee. After ten year’s in New Zealand it’s so exciting to be independently involved in your own business – well, Dan’s business, but I can now say I’ve done a bit on the social secretary front!
I spent the morning getting the house ready, whilst Dan took the girls out for a swim. Folk turned up at 3pm and we were blessed with incredible sunshine and no wind – yah! There were at least a dozen children and the house was like a Kindi! The children played so well together that the adults were left to camp round the patio and drink the afternoon away. It was rolling onto 9pm by the time the last few families left. Sophie went all day without a nap and finally crashed to bed a little after 8.30pm and Charlotte, after a little rest in her room, came back down and partied with Mummy and Daddy till 10.30pm! We sat outside on the patio, under the glow of a near full-moon, on the Summer Solstice and had the best night.
Looking forward to more of the same in the future!
