I am a big girl now!
I am 3 year’s old and the sun came out to help me celebrate my Birthday. I woke feeling grumpy, as I had a streaming cold, but when Mummy told me the magic word, ‘Presents’, I soon had a smile on my face!
The musical cards from both Grandparents had Sophie and I in giggles and the dress Chinese Grandma sent made me want to get ready for the day. The first present I opened was wrapped in Thomas paper and (phew!) there was a train (of sorts!) inside – a Thomas train filled with crayons and pencils!
We enjoyed a yummy Birthday breakfast, complete with hats, party poppers and blowers. Daddy had planned to go into work late and the Lee gals took him in, before heading onto the museum. I had a ride on the ‘Magic Lilo’ (no Birthday would be complete without it!) and ate jelly for morning tea. We then walked along the waterfront to meet Daddy for lunch (which consisted of a ‘Volcano’ icecream for me!).
The magic ‘water wand’ was fun to watch at 1.00pm and then it was time to say ‘ta ra’ to Daddy, till later in the day.
I really wanted to see ‘the magic clock’ on my Birthday (a beautiful clock, which opens up like petals of a flower on the hour). Daddy met Mummy, Sophie and I just before 4pm (he arrived just in time!). He arrived with a beautiful, big balloon and I danced around to ‘Trumpet Voluntary’ as the petals opened and rotated, telling a story of Welington Waterfront. The perfect end to a ‘super’ day!
I was happily asleep by 6.30pm and went to sleep with a pile of unopened presents by my bed… so the Birthday fun continued the next day…!
